Some people just need a cup of coffee before they get started on their day. Perhaps, it’s your usual way of taking a few moments for yourself. A way to reflect on what’s on your agenda; or to drink in the beauty of your surroundings. However you get your day started, or keep it going, remember to give yourself some time to nurture your own uniqueness.
In my opinion, this winter has been just way too COLD. Thus, remembering that the groundhog predicted, “Still six more weeks of winter.” You would hear me saying, “Wouldn’t that be true, if it was ONLY six more weeks!”
Hopefully, it’ll cut down on all those pesky insects to make being outdoors more pleasant when warmer days do arrive.
So, with spring still so far away… and no sign of pretty flowers until mid-May. I think we need a distraction. Let’s go sew something fun!!
With the coldest weather; hopefully, behind us, let’s stitch up a fun little project to remind ourselves how much we love a hot cup of coffee or tea to warm the heart, and for some of us our hands, too. And it’s even better when shared with a friend.
I’ve enjoyed making patterns since 2006, sharing them on past blogs, and selling them online thru the past Craftsy platform. Since that opportunity has closed for me; and those patterns could still provide some happy stitching… I will be offering many of them FREE. Therefore, I am currently working on getting them together in a Pattern Library for you to check out soon.
My typical style is to use what I have; and brainstorm how I can utilize my fabrics without going out to buy more. And I usually make it up as I go along. Consequently, you can follow my suggestions, or just go and do it your own way. Either way works for me!
My only rule would be: if you don’t enjoy the process, than change it without guilt, so it works better for you….
